The Great Australian Indigenous Marathon Challenge

Story

Join Me on the Great Australian Indigenous Marathon Challenge!

Hi there, I’m Charlie – Grad #1 – and I’ve set myself an epic goal for 2025: The Great Australian Indigenous Marathon Challenge. This exciting new initiative is all about running every marathon in every state and territory across Australia over the course of 12 months. I’ll be starting in Tasmania at the Hobart Marathon on January 11th and running my way through the diverse landscapes of Australia, celebrating the strength and resilience of Indigenous communities along the way.

What's in Store?

This challenge is more than just a physical feat—it’s a journey to raise awareness for the incredible work IMF is doing through its life-changing programs. Along the way, I’ll be promoting programs like IMP, I-CAN, and RAW, while also facilitating youth detention runs, engaging with local communities, and celebrating the leaders and change-makers within the IMF family. These programs do far more than promote fitness—they help create generational change. They build leadership, health, and resilience, empowering young Indigenous Australians to break cycles and create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

Why It Matters

IMP and I-CAN are not just programs—they are movements that are transforming lives. They go beyond physical activity, fostering leadership and well-being, and empowering young people to lead healthier lives. The ripple effect of these programs is profound, as they create generational change and help build a united, healthy Australia. By supporting these programs, we are creating pathways to success for Indigenous youth that will benefit communities for generations to come.

How You Can Get Involved

This journey isn’t just mine—it's a community effort. I’d love for you to join me, support the cause, and follow along as I tackle each marathon across Australia. Whether you're cheering me on, spreading the word, or donating to the cause, your involvement helps ensure that programs like IMP, I-CAN, and RAW continue to thrive and make a lasting impact.

Let’s Do This!

The adventure begins in Tasmania on January 11th at the Hobart Marathon, and I’m excited to have you with me every step of the way. Together, we can raise awareness, celebrate the incredible achievements of young Indigenous Australians, and contribute to the ongoing work of IMF in creating a united, healthy Australia.
